We Begin Here

TEDxWorthing 2026 was all about ‘We Begin Here’, celebrating the power of ideas, the strength of community and the belief that meaningful change can start right here in Worthing.

Building on the success of our first event, we returned bigger and better, welcoming four times as many attendees and bringing together eight inspiring speakers, each sharing unique perspectives, powerful stories and thought-provoking ideas.

From challenging the way we think to inspiring positive change, TEDxWorthing 2026 proved that big ideas don't have to begin in big places.

This is just the beginning for Worthing, and we can't wait to see where these ideas take us next.

A Message From the Organiser

"TEDxWorthing started as a little idea. A dream to bring people together, share incredible stories and create something our town could be proud of. And just look at what it's become!

Our 2026 event, We Begin Here, was our biggest and most ambitious yet. Looking out into the theatre and seeing 402 ticket holders who had put their trust in us to deliver an unforgettable evening of inspiring talks, performances and experiences was something I'll never forget.

A huge thank you to everyone who made it possible. To our eight wonderful speakers who put so much time, thought and courage into sharing their ideas, our performers who brought something truly special to the stage, and our brilliant volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.

To our sponsors and partners, thank you for believing in what we're building here in Worthing. TEDxWorthing is entirely volunteer-led and funded through ticket sales and sponsorship, so your support really does make all the difference.

And to our audience, all 402 of you! Thank you for showing up with open minds, curiosity and a willingness to connect. Without you, there simply wouldn't be a TEDxWorthing.

This year certainly had its challenges, but seeing everything come together made every sleepless night worthwhile.
Our theme, We Begin Here, was about recognising that even the smallest actions and ideas can shape our future. In many ways, TEDxWorthing itself is proof of that. What started as one small idea has grown into something that brings hundreds of people together to share stories, challenge perspectives and imagine what's possible.
I'm incredibly proud of what we've created here in Worthing and grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.
