Ticket Sales Terms
Last Updated: 04/01/2026
These Ticket Sales Terms apply to all tickets purchased for TEDxWorthing events. Our aim is to create an inspiring, inclusive experience for everyone attending. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to the terms below.
1. Your Ticket
- Tickets are valid only for the specific TEDxWorthing event, date, time, and venue stated at the time of purchase.
- Tickets are issued for personal use and must not be resold for profit.
- We reserve the right to cancel tickets that are resold or used in breach of these terms.
2.Pricing and Payment
- All ticket prices are shown in GBP (£) and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Full payment is required at the time of booking.
- In the unlikely event of a pricing error, we’ll contact you as soon as possible and offer a full refund if needed.
3. Refunds and Cancellations
Under UK consumer law, event tickets are not subject to the standard 14-day cooling-off period.
- Tickets are non-refundable, except if the event is cancelled by TEDxWorthing.
- Changes to speakers, programme content, running order, or timings do not entitle ticket holders to a refund.
- If you can no longer attend, ticket transfers may be permitted (see Section 4).
4. Ticket Transfers
- Tickets may be transferred to another person at no additional cost, provided we are informed in advance.
- Entry may be refused if ticket details do not match the attendee and no transfer has been confirmed.
5. Event Changes or Cancellation
- We may occasionally need to make reasonable changes to the event, including speakers, schedule, content, or venue.
- If TEDxWorthing is cancelled, ticket holders will receive a full refund of the ticket price paid.
- We are unable to cover additional costs such as travel, accommodation, or other expenses.
6. Admission and Behaviour
- To ensure a positive experience for everyone, we ask all attendees to be respectful and considerate.
- We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove anyone whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate.
- Late entry may be restricted to avoid disrupting speakers and the audience.
- No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.
7. Photography, Filming and Recording
- TEDxWorthing events may be photographed, filmed, or recorded.
- By attending, you consent to the use of your image, voice, or likeness in event recordings or photographs for promotional, broadcast, or archival purposes by TEDxWorthing and TED.
If you have any concerns, please contact us ahead of the event.
8. Accessibility and Inclusion
- We are committed to making TEDxWorthing as accessible and inclusive as possible.
- If you have any access requirements or special needs, please get in touch before the event and we’ll do our best to support you.
9. Personal Belongings and Liability
- Please take care of your personal belongings during the event.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, TEDxWorthing is not liable for loss, damage, or injury except where caused by our negligence.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Data Protection
- Any personal information collected during ticket purchase will be handled in line with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR.
- We may contact you with important updates relating to the event.
